The Victoria Amateur Turf Club’s meeting was held in fine weather. AUSTRALIAN HURDLES: MOSSTROOPER, 11.12 (Harris) I LORD DARNLEY, 9.4 (Richards) 2 KENTLE, 11.8 (Webster) 3 All started. Won by three lengths, four lengths between second and third. Time, 6.124. Mosstrooper was warmly acclaimed on returning to scale. He has now won this event twice, also the Australian Steeples and two Grand Nationals. Ho is considered to be the best jumper seen in Australia and tops the stake winners over hurdles.
