Trans-Tasman Yachting Race

ATTITUDE IN AUSTRALIA. United Press Association,—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. MELBOURNE. Aug. 2. The Royal St. Hilda Yacht Club deprecates the proposed trans-Tasman race, and to-day passed a resolution to that effect, on the grounds that the conditions necessary to secure a reasonable standard would so limit the field that the race would not be in tho best interests of yachting generally. The club, therefore, does not support the proposal.
