Killed on Great South Road

RESIDENT OF TAUMAEUNUI. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Last Night. At ten o’clock last night a motoi car driven by Robert John Burling, of Taumarunui crashed into a telegraph pole just after crossing the Takanini bridge on the Great South road. Tho body of the car was partially wrecked. The passenger Charles Simons, aged about 35, believed to be a single man and a jeweller of Taumarunui, died from injuries a few minutes after tho i smash. Tho driver escaped with minor cuts.
