Ormondville
Mr. Lawson, Napier, has been visiting Ormondville during the week. The Te Uri-Ormondville “Exiles” Pootball team visited Takapau on Wednesday last, where they got a groat drubbing, 26 points to 6. It is the intention of the Takapau team to play a return game at Ormondville on Wednesday next. During the recent snow storms, people had some very funny experiences. Two brothers wore taking loads out to the back, in their lorries. The first one ran into a snow drift about threo or four feet deep and jumped out of the cab to seo what was the matter and disappeared in the snow. His brother came along and pulled him out and then they both had to dig the lorry out. Then, by working the lorry backwards and forwards, they eventually got through. In the meantime onlookers had collected and a snow-fight ensilod. Another car had to be abandoned on the road and the occupants had a walk over the snow for a mile to get home. Miss Taylor, orangising secretary to the British and Foreign Bible Society is a visitor to Ormondville and is the guest of Mrs. Braird.
