Petrol Prices Increased by Twopence
OIL COMPANIES BEAR PART OF INCREASE. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Aug. 2. Petrol prices were raised to-day in Auckland. The increase is 2d per gallon for bowser supplies and 3d for case supplies. WELLINGTON, Aug. 2. Petrol prices are up and oil prices go .up on Monday. The oil companies have not passed on the whole of the duty. Bulk petrol is up 2d a gallon retail and case petrol is up 3d. Lubricating oil prices, retail, from service stations from Monday will be Is Id per pint, 2s 2d per quart, 3s 3d for three pints, 4s 3d for four pints, 5s 3d for five pints, 6s 3d for six pints, 7s 3d for seven pints, and 8s per gallon. This last was the existing price.
