Grimmett Completes Rout of Somerset

The Australians defeated Somerset by an innings and 15S runs. ; j Bradman and Jackson batted, beautifully until nearing. their centuries, when caution was shown. Bradman got his century first, in 185 miniltes. The team’s 200 had taken 205 miniltes. Jackson's belated first century ofjjthe tour occupied 220 minutes. The |>air had put on 2SI when Bradman |vas brilliantly caught. He hit thirteen fours. Five runs later Jackson jWas out. He hit fifteen boundaries, giving one chance. He scored freely toflay all round the wicket. McCabe fa|ied. Richardson hit a sixer, and in attempting a second was caught at the fence. Woodfull hit vigorously and A'Beckett was also severe, hitting White | for four and six in one over. The Australian innings lasted 365 minutes. | Somerset, began their second innings at 4.20 o'clock. The first wicket fel| at 17 and four were down for 26 andj’ six for 43. Grimmett first appeared syhen the score was 22 and soon, had the batsmen struggling hopelessly. Wellard, however, hit a tremendous six off him over tho pavilion. There was a delay of several minutes in recovering the ball. The same batsman emulated Richardson, when he lifted one into the cemetery nearby.
