ANNUAL REPORT OF ST. ANDREW’S CLUB. The annual report .of the St. Andrew’s Association Football Club, to be presented at tho annual meeting tomorrow evening, reads as follows: “The past season has been one of tho best the club has experienced during its long and varied career, the sneior eleven winning the league championship with tho loss of only live points, also annexing the knock-out, trophy. The team also won representation for Manawatu in the Chatham Cup, and after a very hard game at Wellington, was unfortunate to lose by 4 goals to 2. Tho club started the season with a deficit of about £l4, but by hard work, this has now been paid off and it is hoped to start the 1930-01 season with a clean sheet, as far as finance is concerned. The annual Easter tournament was again run by the club and the Cup was won for tho first time by St. Andrew’s Club. Tho club sincerely thanks amongst others, the Manawatu Football Association for the use of the ground for the annual tournaments, the deacons of St. Andrew s Church for the use of the room for committee meetings, .those gentlemen who donated sums during the year; Mr. Walker and Mr. Fuller for the work they put in with the team in their training for the Chatham Cup games.”
