200 PER CENT. JUMP IN MANY CITIES. United Press Association. —By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Received Sunday, 11 p.m. NEW YORK, March 16. The Family Welfare Association of America, gathering statistics from agencies in a hundred American cities, found a 200 per cent, increase in unemployment in 32 cities, compared with last year. Expenditures for the relief of the. distressed in 52 cities increased •100 per cent. Societies in 39 cities report prospects of improvementr and 18 cities shew poor prospects of improvement. .
