Cunard Line Intends to Outbuild Majestic

NEW ATLANTIC LINER. Per Press Association. Received Friday, 7 p.m. LONDON, March 14. The Cunard Lino to-day officially stated it was in communication with certain shipbuilders regarding the building of a new steamer for its Atlantic express service. It is understood it has sent out preliminary inquiries and specifications for a now liner, which, it is believed, will be the biggest ship afloat. Tho largest vessel in the world at present is the White Star liner Majcsticc, of 56,551 tons. New Vessel for Island Trade Received Friday, 10.45 p.m. SYDNEY, March 14. The Burns, Philo Company, Limited, has placed an order with Glasgow shipbuilders for a now motor ship for the Island trade. Her length will be 340 feet and she will bo of tho comoincd passenger and cargo type, with accommodation for 140 first class passengers.
