Isle of Man Tourist Trophy Races
NEW ZE All and REPRESENTATIVE WANTED. The question of sending a motor, cyclist Home to represent the New Zealand Auto-Cyclo Union in tho Tourist Trophy races at the Isle of Man has been freely discussed by tho executive of the N.Z.A.C.U. for a number of years. It must be pleasing, therefore, to riders of the N.Z.A.C.U. to learn that on Monday tho secretary of tho Union (Mr Arthur Way, of Marton) received the following cable from tho English Auto-Cyclo Union: — ‘'Please cable if New Zealand would like opportunity of sending representative motor-cyclist to Tide in Tourist Trophy Races in middle of June. Return passage for man and machine is provided freo by us. Only cost to you would bo £1 13/. covering insurance and medical charges, plus sustenance when ashore.” The secretary has now circularised all registered New Zealand riders with a viow to obtaining a list of riders who are prepared to make tho trip on tho above terms, the only expense to the rider selected being his board at Home. It will be necessary for any riders who are of tho opinion that they are capable of taking a prominent part in these races to submit their names to the secretary of the Union, at Marton, by February 22. It is quite probable that if thero is a large number of aspirants that a Trial race meeting will be held to dccido on the representative.
