Woman's Footsteps Led to River Bank

DISAPPEARED SATURDAY NIGHT Per Press Association. NEW PLYMOUTH, Last Night. Mrs. C. Hooper, of Hawera, who has been suffering ill-health and who has been staying with her sister, Mrs. D. Dunbar ,of Urenui, disappeared at 8 p.rn. on Saturday. Search parties were out all Saturday night, and at daybreak they found footsteps leading to "the river bank, but none returning.

Dragging operations so far have revealed nothing.
