Rifle Shooting
LINTON RIFLE CLUB’S CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES. The Linton Rifle Club fired its third shoot of the championship series during the week, when, owing to a tricky; wind on both days, scores were of a low average. Good single range scores were made by J. C. Carter, B. G. Salmons and F. Cox, tho last-named proving the most consistent for the two ranges with a grand total of 88. Next week will be the final shoot for the Pickering Cup and as several members are close together, it should be an interesting shoot. It will be fired over 300 and 600 yards.
