Summer Blooms at Their , Best
The fourth annual summer flower show and salo of work organised by St. Peter’s Flower Show Committee in conjunction with the Ladies’ Guild, was held in the Drill Hall, Pahiatua on Tuesday. Summer blooms wci*j displayed in profusion by amateur gardeners and made a brave show. Results:—

Cut flowers: Mrs Adams 1, Mr Styles 2. ■ The flower show was not so good as in previous years on account of high winds and heavy rain during the month. Tho St. Peter’s Ladies’ Guild held their annual sale of work in connection with the show, there being the following stalls: Country (produce), fancy, plain, cake, handkerchief, kitchen, sweets, doll, and a Christmas tree. The proceeds of this sale of work amounted to £llO.
