Struck on Head by Fragment of Rock

P.W.D. WORKER KILLED. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. Henry Tucker, employed by the Public Works Department on relief work on tho new road between Gebbie’s Pass and Kennedy’s Bush, died to-day as the result of a blasting accident. Shots were being fired about 3 o’clock, during the afternoon smoko, when Tucker was struck on the head by a piece of stone and killed instantly. A similar accident occurred on the same road on August 17, when another member of the gang was killed in almost similar circumstances.
