MOTOR CAR AND CYCLE COLLIDE ON CORNER

CYCLIST INJURED. As a Tesult of a collision which occurred at the intersection of Rangitikei line and the Bunnythorpe-Kai-ranga road yesterday, Mr Jack Hansen, of 26 Ranfurly street, __ Palmerston North, is lying in hosrpital with a fractured leg and injuries to the jaw. Mr Hansen was riding a motor cycle into town and at the cross road collided with a car driven by Mr A. P. McCool, of Woodville. Both car and cycle were precipitated off the road into a ditch, the cycle being badly damaged through the petrol catching alight and setting fire to the machine.

ANOTHER COLLISION IN FEATHERSTON STREET... Shortly after 11 o’clock yesterday morning, a collision occurred at the intersection of North and Featherston streets, a.s a result of which a youth named Clifford Canton was admitted to the public hospital suffering from facial abrasions and injuries to a log. He was riding a motor cycle along Featherston street in the direction of Ruahino street when ho collided with the rear of a oar which was turning out of North street. His injuries, though painful, were not serious while a pillion rider on the rear of the machine, escaped umurt.
