FARMERS AND THE TAXATION PROPOSALS

BIG MEETING AT FEILDING. A special meeting of all farmers interests will be held in Feilding at the Oddfellows’ hall on Monday afternoon at 2 o’cock to consider the taxation proposals. The meeting has been called at the instigation of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union, in order that farmers may consider the proposals and appoint delegates to attend a national convention to be held in Wellington on Thursday next. All farmers are invited to attend this meeting in order that a representative voice on the proposals may be obtained and the delegates appointed, instructed as to the views of the farmers in this district. Delegates will be present from the main trunk district and a big muster is expected.
