Mr and Mrs Neville Woodili, have left for Akaroa on holidays.

Advice has been received in Sydney of the death of Jean Gc’rardy, the famous 'cellist, who toured Australia and New Zealand in 1924.

Viscount Melville, who for many years was in tho Diplomatic Corps and who has held concular posts in many parts of tho world, arrived by the lonic in Auckland on Saturday with Viscountess Melville, on a holiday visit to New Zealand.
