GUN CLUB HAS FINAL SHOOT FOR THE YEAR
There was a large muster of guns at tho Palmerston North Gun club’s grounds bn Saturdayfor the final shoot of the season. Weather conditions were favourable and some excellent shooting was witnessed. The matches resulted as follows:
.First .match (cup, donated by Messrs. Hammond and Turner, Ltd., of Christchurch, and trophy donatod by Mr. T. Bond).—A. Myers, N. D. Stubbs, C. K. Thomson 9; H. E. Best, P. A. Meehan, C. J. Brown, J Donnelly, H. Collinson, C. A. Bofc, 8; J. C. Whitney, 7; M. A. Thomson, H. Clinch, M. Kearins, 6.
In tho shoot off, B. K. Thomson proved the winner, beating N. D Stubbs, in the second round. A. Myers dropped'out in the first round ' In the second match, a 10 bird sweepstake, H. ,E, Best and H. Clinch divided the money with nine each. Other scores were: —W. A. Thomson. B. K. Thomson, N. D. Stubbs, S; A. Myers, H. Collinson, M. Kearins, 7; J. Donnelly, 6; J. fe. Whitney, 3. Before the light failed a five bird open mark shoot was held. In the shoot off, after getting tne possible, W. A. Thomson beat C. A. Bofe, J. Donnelly and N. D. Stubbs. There were- six other competitors.
