Mr. Arnold Bennett, in the Evening Standard, writes an appreciative review of “A House is Built” by “M. Bernard Eldershaw.” It is really the work of two Sydney University graduates, Misses Eldershaw and Bernard, which won the £IOOO competition for the best novel by an Australian author. Mr. Bennett'says it .is a very notable novel; the quality is epical and deeply impressed him. Ho would be mirprised if more were not heard of Misses Eldershaw and Bernard.
