PAT HANNA’S FAMOUS DIGGERS
Box plans for tho performance. on. Saturday next at the Opera House ara filling rapidly at the Contra! booking and intending patrons would do well to reserve their seats immediately. The Diggers are coming direct from their wonderful triumph in Australia and are now appearing to splendid •houses in St. James' Theatre, Auckland. Tho company is composed of 25 clever and talented costume comedy artists, and their programmes are full of the latest musical hits, dances, and witty sketches. Their orchestra, led by Miss Nina Kope,'is a feature of tho show, and so also is the charming classical ballet. In addition to tho excellent comedy supplied by the famous “Pat” himself (lie is now known as Ghic) there is the morth-provoking pciivcr of a comedian of time Scotch type, possessing a rare and “pawky” wit—Joe Valli, who takes a big part in a comedy combination, said to equal anything on the Australian boards today. Tho balance of tho company shows some “old, familiar faces,” &omo new, but all will receive a hearty welcome when the Opera House opens its doors at 8 o’clock on Saturday (tomorrow) night.
