SOUTHERN CROSS ON TO SINGAPORE
VIA STJNDA STRAITS. United Press Association —By Electri* Telegraph —Copyright. Received Thursday 9.30 p.m. SYDNEY, June 27. A message from Squadron-Leadei Kingsford Smith, at Derby states that Southern Cross will leave for Singapore at 4.30 this afternoon, via Sunda Straits. They expect to arrive at one p.m. the following day. Arrangements have been made for an emergency landing at Andir, where they may como down if adverso weather is encountered. The Dutch authorities have been instructed to send radio messages.
Flying Conditions Good
AEROPLANE IS NOW WELL OVER INDIAN OCEAN. Received Friday, 1 a.m. SYDNEY, Juno 27. Wireless messages from Southern Cross have been received saying that the 'plane took off from Derby at 5.40 this afternoon local time, corresponding to 7.40 Sydney time. Flying conditions wore good, with a starry night. The plane was doing 100 knots at S p.m., and is now well over tho Indian ocean at an altitude of 3000 feet. The Cross experienced a few . bumps; but reported all O.K.
