Owing to the boisterous weather, there was only a small attendance of buyers aud bidding was dull, though practically the whole yarding was cleared at satisfactory prices. Messrs. Dalgety & Co., Ltd., in conjunction with Messrs. Levin & Co, Ltd. report having held a satisfactory dairy sale for Mr. L. B. AVall at his farm, Kairanga, on Tuesday, June 25, when despite the boisterous weather, there was a very fair attendance of the public. While bidding was not animated, probably on account of the very largo number of cows which aro on tho market at the present time, competition was steady and the following are the prices realised:—Best cows, £l7 10s to £2O; good cows, £l4, £ls, £l6, £l6 10s; late ealvers, £9, £lO, £lO 10s, £ll, £l2; cows in milk, £l3 10s to £l7 10s; threequarter cows, £7 10s to £8; heifers in milk, £l2 10s, £l3; springing heifers, £B, £9, £lO 10s, £ll, £l2, £l3, £l4 15s, £ls 15s; bulls, £5, £10; sows, £2, £2 ss, £2 17s 6d; slips, 10s 6d, 14s Gd; store pigs, 21s. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd. in conjunction with the N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd., report having held a very successful clearing sale of cows and heifers on Monday 1 last, on account of Mr. H. R. Green, of Kairanga. The cows came forward in tip-top condition and calving dates were given at the sale. Bidding was not brisk but the prices realised were quite satisfactory. Quotations: —Best cows and early ealvers, £l2, £l2 10s. £l3, £l3 10s, £l4, £ls, £l6 10s, £l7, £25 to £29; later ealvers, £S, £9, £IC to £11; springing heifers, £9, £9 os, £l2. £l2 10s, £l3 10s, £l4 10s, £ls to £l6; sows with litters, £7 10s; sows to farrow, £4 15s to £5; hoar, £4 10s. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd j report having held a successful clear-1 ing sale of dairy stock and sundries, on account of Mrs M. Miles, of Toko- , mam on Monday last. Owing to the; bad weather the attendance was small i and bidding, was not at its best. Good , cows sold well .but later, ealvers and aged cows were inclined to be neglect- j cd.
