A TREAT IN STORE FOR MUSIC LOVERS
On Wednesday next, at the Opera House, there will be a grand concert in aid of tho funds of the Bussell Street school. Tho school committee has been alive to the fact that a big effort made by it will provide the necessary funds to carry on the scheme of improvements to the grounds and it has caught the public fancy with its concert programme. An orchestra comprising the best local talent and assisted by Mr. Tanner, ’cellist, of AVellington, will contribute four numbers under the baton of Mr. C. L. Mowlcm. Miss Naomi AVhalley has consented to assist and she will be tho only lady vocalist. ■ Other singers include Messrs. Tennant, Boss, Jacobs and Simpson. Another excellent item will be a ’cello solo by Mr. Tanner, with Mr. Gunter at the |piano. Mr. B. Luko will contribute jan elocutionary item and Mrs. Law, Miss Seifert and Mr. C. G. Swallow will bo heard in a trio. The prices of admission are 3s, 2s and Is and the box plan opens on Monday at 10 o’clock at the box office in Broadway.
