PREPARING FOR BROWNDELANEY BOUT IN JULY
BOXING ASSOCIATION MEETS. At last night’s meeting o£ the Manawatu Boxing association, arrangements were completed for the contest between Bert Brown and Bob Delaney in July. Mr. Earle B. AVimsett was in the chair. There were also present: Messrs. ' V. Goldfinch, M. 0 ’Bricn, E. Scott, H. Essex, E. L. Barnes, D. Armstrong, B. McGrath, G. AVatchorn, B. L. C. Aiteliison, J. Purvcs and J. Evans (secretary). The secretary announced that he had received a handsome silver cup from Messrs. Briggs and Pearson for a light-weight contest at the ensuing tournament. Tho donors intimated that they would give a similar trophy for a light-weight contest at each tournament staged by the association. The meeting thanked the donors for tlici* gift which was greatly appreciated. It was decided to ask Mr. Stewart to referee the Brown-Delaney match. Ladies will be admitted free to the" dress circle at the coming contest and will be charged half-price to the rest of the house.
