JUNIOR UNITED PARTY FORMED
A large gathering of men aged from 18 to 30 years has formed the Junior United Political organisation held in Auckland. The convener, Mr. H. A. C. Davy, Auckland divisional secretary, referred to the necessity for cultivating political knowledge among the younger members of the community. Ho drew attention to the apathy of the past. The organisation of a Junior United party wouhl stimulate interest in legislation and lit men for a position in political affairs later. It was desired to bring together men who could work together amicably and constructively. This would reduce haphazard voting by young people ignorant of the cause they were supporting. The junior party would be largely guided by the objects of the parent organisation, but should not hesitate to form its own ideas for submission to the senior party.
