RESULTS OF MATCHES IN COUNTY CRICKET

Middlesex: Somerset in the first innings made IG3 (Robins 4 for 51) and in the second 120. Middlesex in the first innings made 210 (White 5 for 50) and in the second 63 for no wickets (Haig not out 54), 'Middlesex won by ten wickets. Surrey v. Cambridge: In the first innings Surrey scored 261. (Wilson 78; Kinrpeveleh 4 for 41) and in second 373 for 7 and declared (Ducat not out 168, Shepherd 70). Cambridge in the first innings made 341 (Killick 103; Geary 4 for 61) and in the second 136 for 4. The match was drawn. Gloucester v. Lancashire: Gloucester in the first innings mado 395 (Hammond 155, Lyons 93). Lancashire in the first innings made 234 (Goddard 5 for 89, Sinfield 4 for 61) and in the second 130 (E. Tyldcsley 68; Godlaarcl 6 for 72, Sinfield 4 for 44). Gloucester won by an innings and 31 runs.

j Kent v. Northants: Kent in the first j innings made 118 (Clark 7 for 45) and ;in the second 148. Northants in the first innings made 266 (Bakewell 137; 'Freeman 5 for 61) and in the second j innings 1 for 0. Northants won by ten wickets. Worcester v. Nottingham: Worcester in the first innings made 168 (Voco 4 for 35) and in the second 169 (Root !70; Voco 7 for 37). Nottingham in ‘the first innings made 276 (G. V. Gunn, a son of the famous George Gunn, 73; I Root 5 for 83) and in the second 62 I for 1. Nottingham won by nine 'wickets. | GJamorgan v. Hampshire: In the first innings Glamorgan made 46S (Hills 166, Davies 68; Horian 6 l'or 107) 'and in the second 179 (Newman 6 for 44, Boyes 4 for 39). Hampshire in the first innings made 368'(Brown 60) and in the second 280 for 8 (Tennyson not out 125). Hampshire won by : two wickets. Essex v. Warwick: Essex in the first innings made 401 and in the second 218 for 5 and declared. Warwick in the first innings made 207 and in the second 2p6. Essex won by 156 runs.
