Findlay Duff, labourer, alias Findlay Lament, was charged before Mr AVolter Dobson, J.P., that on June 21, he incurred a debt with one George Gerdebes, to wit, one meal, of the value of 5s and with having obtained credit by means of fraud. Sergt. Martin suggested the case bo remanded till Tuesday. The Farmers’ reunion social, which is to take place on Friday evening next promises to be a great success. Daddy Karadtiana’s orchestra ara arranging an ideal musical programme, and the committee are -working hard to ensure the turn out to be a success. Takepau.

. On Saturday morning a football team from the third form of the Dannevirke High School journeyed to Norsewood to try conclusions with t-lie local school boys. A fast and exciting gamo ensued, good combined w r ork being shown by both teams. Norsewood’s attacl? and tackling proved too much for High School. At the call of rime the score stood at 13 to nil, in favour of Norsewood. Mr. AV. Edkins very ably controlled the game. After the match the local boys entertained their visitors to morning tea, which was enjoyed by all. Mrs. AV. A. Mackie, Moliaka, is spending a holiday with her parents Mr and Mrs Schmidt.

Mrs Thompson (Carterton) is at present the guest of Mr and Mrs E. Parsons, Norsewood. Mr and Mrs 11. Tggulden hove just returned to Norsewood from a visit to Wellington. Rua Roa. A farewell social in honour of Miss Marjorie Evans, who is leaving Rua Roa school to teacli at. Dannevirke South, will be held in the schoolroom or. AVcdncsday evening. Miss Evans has been for two and a half years at the school and has creditably filled her position. Mrs. O’Dowd and Airs. Appleyard, off Ilawera, have been recent visitors to Rua Roa.

Miss Lily Shute is at present away holiday making in the AVairarapa dis trict.

Mr. and Airs. Price and family arc also spending a vacation at New Plymouth and other Taranaki centres. The manager at the Rua Roa factory was fortunate enough to seeuro the

grading cup at the Wanganui cool stores for last season’s cheese. It is the first cup that has been presented, so Rna Roa will bo the first name on it, whoever wins it eventually-. Ormondville. Mrs Renton, Gisborne, has been staying with Sirs D. Wilson.
