A quarter of a million people from all parts of Ireland and England attended the celebration of I ontiiica] High Mass in Phoenix Park, Dublin, tc-day. It was the crowning event in connection with tho celebrations marking tho centenary of Roman Catholic emancipation. .. , Dublin has never witnessed religious demonstrations on such a vast and splendid scale. An altar 50 feet in height had been erected on an open space, and on either side were ranged classical columns linked with evergreen festoons. Tho clergy included tho wholo Irish heirarchy and a special envoy from the Pope. Thero was a vast assemblage, including Mr. Cosgravc, tho President, and Mr. McNeil, tho Governor-General. The organisation was marvellous.
