HURNE KNOCKED OUT BY AUSTRALIAN WHITE
.. WHEN LEADING ON POINTS. .. NEW ZEALANDER’S BLOWS INEFFECTIVE. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. Mick White, Australian professional paper and flyweight crampion, knocked out Cyril Hume to-night in tho ninth round of a 15 rounds contest. Tho weights were: White 7.8, Hurne 8.0. Up to the knock-out, Hurne was ahead on points. White was content to let. Hurne do the leading and did not even attempt to smother. Hume’s blows were ineffective.
