AIRPORT MOOTED FOR MANAWATU HEADS
AIR DIRECTOR IMPRESSED. That tho Director of Air Services (Major T. M. Wilkes) was favourably impressed with the recreation reserve at Manawatu Heads as a site for an airport was reported to yesterday's meeting of the Foxton Harbour board, by tho secretary, Mr. Roono Rangiheuca, who further advised that the Mayor of Foxton intended to urge that the board give its consent to the proposal to establish a landing ground. Mr. J. Linklater M.P.: So far m» official communication has come to the board. Mr. Nash trusted that before any definite arrangements were made, the board would bo consulted in the matter as it was entitled to be.
