ROD LA ROCQUE AT TIVOLI
Jeanette I.oifc and Eod La Eocqua are co-starred in this most thrilling comedy. Hod was a cashier in the subway and meets Jeanette during liis lunch hour. She is a fascinating blonde, and Eod starts off by telling her he is interested in finances.' Shortly Jeanette goes to the subw-ay to buy a ticket and Eod hides so that his identity will not be discovered. A thief comes to the ticket office brandishing a revolver, and covers the assistant while Jeanette reaches through for tho cash bag. Eod believes her to be an accomplice and several days later sees her in the subway and gives chase, but takes with him the dollar bills he is counting and is pursued by a detective, who is watching the box. lie traces tho girl to her house, but is knocked uncouscious as lie enters her room. Tho detective follows in a taxi, and also enters the house, but the occupants hide Eod. He discovers that Jeanette is innocent of any crime, and was forced by the thief to hand the cash over. Ho decides to marry her but finds that she is already engaged. On the day of hor wedding he kidnaps her and they are married. He goes back to his job but is arrested, but pleads to have a chance to say goodbye to his wife, who has since discovered that he ii only a cashier, and decides to leave him. The detective takes him to his hotel, and his wife seeing his predicament assists him to escape after a clover ruse is adopted to outwit the detective. The screening to-morrow will bo “Tho Mysterious Lady,” and a matinee will be held at 3.30 p.m.
