(By Russell Owen—Special to New York Times.)
BAY OF WHALES, May 20. Thcro has been a full week of dull weather, comparatively mild. The temperature, indeed, last night was o degrees above zero, a surprising rise, as the wind was not unusually strong. The days go very rapidly, and in less than a month Winter Day will be reached, and we can look ahead to tho return of tho sun.
