Tho Disarmament Committee, by 22 votes to two, resolved that having rejected the system of the direct limitation of material, a reduction must be sought by means of the publicity of ex-i penditure, which will be dealt with in examining articles in the draft convention already adopted. The Chinese and Soviet delegations voted against the motion, Germany abstaining from voting.

HOOVER ANNOYED AT CURRENT RUMOURS.
Received Sunday 7.0 p.m. WASHINGTON, May 3. It is stated Preside Hoover is displeased with reports that tho United States has changed her position on the reduction of armaments, based on tho recent developments at Geneva and is understood to'regard such reports as circulated for mischievious purposes. Officials state no instructions or implication, direct or indirect, for such a change havo gone to Mr Gibson.
