WIGAN WINS FINAL 13—2,

The weather at Wembly was dull and cold for tho Rugby League cup final, when Wigan beat Dewsbury 13—2 before an attendance of 40,000 spectators.
game failed to reach expectations of a close, exciting contest, for Wigan, with five players recruited at considerable expense from England, Wales, New Zealand and South Africa, had little difficulty in beating Dewsbury, whoso team, with one exception, were all born within a few miles of Dewsbury. Prominent in Wigan’s 13 were SulliTan, Ring and Bennett, who all toured Australasia and the two New Zealanders had a big share in winning the game, L. Brown scoring a brilliant try and L. Mason, the giant Maori, doing splendid work both on attack and defence. Wigan scored two goals and three tries.
