£IOOO AGAINST SHIPPING COMPANY. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, May 3. The Arbitration Court awarded £IOOO compensation to Margaret Lawric. wife of the late F. John Lawrio, who died on January 25 as the result of an accident while working on the Ulimaroa. A sling of timber left resting against the hatch coamings slipped and fell on him. The sum is to be paid by the Huddart Parker Co., Ltd., together with medical and funeral expenses £32 19s.
