The ceremonies of investing the Emperor of Japan with the British Order of the Garter, for which Prince Henry is visiting Tokyo, were carried out fortunately indoors. Rain marred the pageantry of the proceedings between the palaces. The Emperor returned the visit of courtesy and conferred on Prince Henry the Supreme Order of the Chrysanthemum. A State banquet will be held tonight at the Imperial Palace.
