CONSTABLE’S CONDUCT
ASSAULT ON ABORIGINALS. CROWN DROPS CASE. United Press Association —By Electric . Telegraph —Copyright. DARWIN, May 3. An extraordinary brutal assault on handcuffed aboriginal prisoners by a constable was revealed in Court in the caso of Tommy Moyle, an aboriginal, charged with murder. A native woman revealed that tho constable upon getting three handcuffed prisoners to tho polico station gave them a thrashing with a waddy, and then questioned shem about the tragedy. The Crown Prosecutor immediately withdrew the case for the Crown, and the jury returned a verdict of not guiiiy without leaving the box.
