Weddings

TREMAIN—BYLTH. A very pretty wedding took place on April 10, at St. Andrew’s Churah, Palmerston North, when Agnes Greta, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Blyth, Makerua, was married to Wiliam, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. T. Tremain, Wanganui. The bride entered the church on the arm of her father, wearing a pretty frock of golden beige georgette,' and lace; the bodice of which was tightly fitting and had long sleeves. A diamante buckle nestled on the shoulder. The skirt was cut on straight lines at the back, and had three frills caught up at the'centre front. Her veil was of tulle, caught at the head with a coronet of silver leaves. The bride’s bouquet was of autumn flowers. Miss Peg Shoot, of Wellington, was bridesmaid. She chose a deep mauve erepe do chene frock, and picture hat to match. Little Joan and Peggy Allright, who were dressed alike in pink and blue tulle, both carried baskets of autumn tinted flowers. The Rev. Mr. Stewart, of Bulls, officiated, and Mr. “Snowy” Petersen, of Levin, was best man.

After the ceremony, a reception was held at the Rosco tea rooms, where the guests were recived by Mr 3. Blyth, wearing a beautiful gown of black morocain, deeply embroidered in gold, with a hat to tone. She carried a bouquet of red carnations and zinnias. ! Assisting Mrs. Blyth, was Mrs. Ander--1 son, of Otopi, (Dannevirko) the bride's godmother, who chose a charming frock of vieux rose wool crepe do chone, with , hat to tone, Mrs. Tremain wore a smart frock of floral silk, with hat to • tone and fox fur. The bridegroom’s gift to the bride was a handsome antique oak linen chest. The bridesmaid received a beautiful handbag, and the little flower girls each a gold bracelet. The happy couple left for an extended tour of tho South Island by car, the bride wearjpg a particularly smart frock of grey crepe-de-chine, with touches of blue and a smart little hat to match. She carried a handsome fur coat, the gift of her father. Telegrams of congratulation were received from all parts of Now Zealand. The guests included:—Mr. and Mrs. G. Allright (Opiki), Mrs. Burnett. (Waionc), Mr. and Mrs. M. Tremain (Wanganui), Mr. and Mrs. T. Tremain' (Bulls), Mr. and Mrs. Keats (P.N.), Mr. Eugene Tremain, Mr. Eric Tremain (Wanganui), Mr. E. Stokes, Miss Phyllis Stokes, Mrs. Wilson (Linton), Mr. and Mrs. Gerrian, Mrs. G. Merriman (Linton),- Miss D. Christiansen, Miss Yetta Christiansen, Mr. Roy Walker, Mr. M. Christiansen, Miss D, Stokes, and the Rov. Stewart (Bulls).
