As a sequel to many month's pump* ing of Lake Nemi the poop of tho Emperor Caligula’s galley has been: revealed. The Italian flag .has been hoisted to it. The timbers are well preserved after nearly two thousand years submersion. It is hoped to recover the whole galley, also the second which is lying dopper in the centre of. the lake.
