HOLIDAY CROWDS SEE CONVALESCENT KING

Sitting in an overcoat behind screens on the lawn at Craigweil House amid the Royal suito the King listened during the forenoon to'‘the army military band’s recital. A great crowd of the public listened from the beach, a police cordon preventing the approach to the house. His Majesty, learning of their disappointment, allowed the people to come to the sea wall whence they could plainly see him in his armchair chatting with tho Archbishop of Canterbury. , ' 1 After the concert the King approach* ed the sea wall and raised his hat to the people. OFFICIAL BULLETIN. SATISFACTORY PROGRESS. LONDON, March 29. A bulletin signed by Sir Stanley Hewett and Lord Dawson states that the King continues to make satisfactory progress, despite a tiresome rheumatism in the right shoulder. His weight is increasing and his appetite returning. His .sleep is -of a better quality.. The insistence on a lengthy abstention from all except essential •public duties and' a quiet life in the present suitable climate is being justified in the steady'improvement, in Hi* Majesty’s bodily and mental vigour.
