STOCK SALES
Levin and Co. Ltd., report on Feilding sale 22nd. March, 1929. We had a fair entry of sheep and a moderate one of cattle. Tho best pens of breeding ewes were freely competed for and prices were firm at rate rates. Store lambs were in better demand and prices were slightly in advance of recent quotations. Wo had a total clearance of cattle at auction at late rates. Wo quote: —Best -1 and 5-yr. ewes 27/9, 2S/3, 2S/8; others (mixed aged) 25/-, 28/7; f. and f. ewes 19/-. 20/-; medium 2-tooth ewes 35/2, 36/2; medium 1-tooth ewes 33/8; Bom. wether lambs 17/1, 18/5, 19/-; small do., 12/3, 12/10; small ewe lambs 17/7; b.f. lambs 14/3, 18/-; fat wethers 29/3, 30/-; fat lambs 21/-, 23/-; 2nd ealvers r.w.b. £7/5/-; Jersey heifers r.w.b. £6/11/-; P.A. X heifers £6/17/-; fat heifers £7/5/-, £B/15/-; fat cows £B/17/6 to £lO/7/0.
