PRICES IMPROVE AT NAPIER WOOL SALE
Final Offering GOOD PROPORTION OF LOTS ARE INFERIOR CONTINENT BUYS READILY. Per Press Association. NAPIER, Last Night. The final Napier wool sale of the season was held to-night. In the offering of 7779 bales, a few attractive clips were catalogued VM- there was really very little that could bo described as anything better than of average type, while quite a good proportion of lots were of shabby, rough aud inferior sorts, For wools of decent style and quality, there was excellent general competition from Bradford and the Continent, the latter probably being the larger purchaser. Shabby and seedy lots were in rather better demand than at the pervious sale. Prices were slightly in advance of last sale’s rates but at times bidding was erratic and the making of comparisons is difficult. It is pleasing to note that the market, at tho close of tlio season, shows the firmness it displayed at to-night's sale.
