MAKAREWA SCHOOLBOY IS BELIEVED DROWNED
BAG FOUND ON BANK. - Per Press Association. INVERCARGILL, Last Night. Robert Duff, aged 11 years, is believed to have been drowned at Makarewa. He was scon pulling the rope of the cable chair used in crossing tho river, and later his schoolbag was found on the bank. Dragging operations have been unsuccessful.
