FIJIAN DAIRYMAN
A PROGRESSIVE NATIVE. Individual Fijians have branched out into many avenues of life and iu most cases have been successful. The latest departure from the cdsy going communal life is the venture into dairying of a young Fijian, Malika, an cx-stu-dent 'of tho Methodist Agricultural School at Navuso cn tho Rewa River. Malika has a\farm on the Naduruloulou road, not far from Pailevu. He runs a pedigree bull which io in perfect condition, and lb well-bred cows now giving a regular supply of excellent milk. The milk is handled in a neat little dairy, clean us a dining room, in which is installed the latest type separator and he sends along his butter-fat regularly to the Tailevu butter factory. The cows are milked in proper bails which are kept as clean and wholesome as any in the area. Malika appears to be doing very well.
