Waldegrave Street
To the Editor. Sir—lf there be another street.more entitled to tar-sealing than Waldcgrave street, then I would.say, “Let the City Fathers hearken to tho woeful prayers of its residents to help them fight the dust demon. ” But I say without feat of contradiction that the claims of the residents of Waldbgravc street to now have their street taT-sealed will be found most just;-owing to the great motor traffic that passes over this thoroughfare cn-route to tho back country. Whilst I write cars are tearing past to and fro. Whence they come or where they go, I cannot say, for I do not know; but I do know that clouds of dust are steadily rising from the roadway and that the long suffering residents would be grateful if the traffic was somewhat more equally distributed with the other streets running parallel to this one. However, as our street seems to bo the chpscn one of motorists, I ask on behalf of the residents of this fully built on and old settled street to have its claims fairly considered by our councillors and the thanks of the people will be yours, “Sir 7 for kindly giving this matter publicity,—l am, etc., ’ RATEPAYER.
