TO COST £320. COUNCIL 'WILL DO WORK IF \ AUTOMOBILE CLUB PAYS. On the recommendation of the reserves committee, the Palmerston North Borough council last evening decided to make a number of important improvements to the motorist camp site at the Esplanade. With a view to assisting the Automobile club to carry out improvements the incoming council is to be recommended to place the sum of £IOO on the estimates . The borough engineer and curator ■were also instructed to level those portions of the camping site indicated by the Automobile club, by filling in the holes and metalling the roadway at the expense of the council.
