FLOWER SHOW

DAHLIA EXHIBITION ON SATURDAY NEXT. The Palmerston North. Horticultural Society’s show will be held in the Empire hall on Saturday next and will no doubt prove a centre of attraction for flower lovers. The novice gardner is reminded of the section in which he can display his blooms in competition with other novices only, while provision is also made for those who do not employ labour in connection with their gardens. The usual /comprehensive vegetable section is included in the schedule, as well as classes for home cookory and preserves. In the decorative section new classes have been added, and those competing in it will not be allowed to compete in the amateur section.
