William Brainhill, a labourer, aged 20, who was stat-nl to have been consorting with thieves for somo time past, was to-day sentenced to two years ’ reformative detention on ctavges which included tne t Tie ft. of £36 23 Bd. and mischief by damaging property. Bramhill was one of a party who have been breaking into service stations. But he only acted as watcher} hence he was not charged with break* ing and entering, but only with theft.
