DESPITE RISE IN BANK RATE. SEVEN MILLIONS NEW CAPITAL IN TWO DAYS. United Press Association —By Electri* Telegraph—Copyright. Received Wednesday, 9.15 p.m. LONDON, March 6. The Daily Express says the City is engaged in more company flotations than at any time since the war. Seven millions of new capital have been subscribed in tho last two days and 80 millions in January and February. But for the rise in the bank rate, the new capital issues would have been even greater. A number of flotations had been postponed till easier monetary conditions should prevail. Half the money is required for industrial concerns but a number of companies have been formed to exploit new and untried inventions, the chief centring on issues of a Speculative nature. ’L" issues have been largely oversubscribed.
