Tennis. Mangaweka tennis players journeyed to Bangiwahia on Saturday afternoon for a friendly match. The home team was victorious, the sets being 15 to 9. The day was ideal for tennis, and many good games were witnessed. Afternoon ■tea was provided by the ladies. The games were as follow: Men's singles: Weymouth 1 v. D. Saywell 6, C. Trewby 3 v. W. The weekly card tournament held on Saturday night was quite a success. The next tournament will be held on Saturday, March 16th. It will be the last of this round. The prizewinners were—Crib: Men, Mr J. Carey, consolation Mr H. Fankhauser; ladies, Mrs L. PtOgers, consolation Mrs C. vSmith. Euchre: Men, Mr C. Moess, consolation, Mr A. Couper; ladies, Mrs J. H. Thompson, consolation, Miss A. Boshier. Personal. Miss E. Palmer, Eltham, is the guest of her sister, Mrs W. G. Deihl. Miss Larsen is visiting her daughter Mrs P. Bobiason.
